2 things prompted this post. First, a random conversation with an ignorant person who waned to opt out from the monthly contribution to SINDA because she had no idea the level of impact and the amazing work SINDA does for the community and the country.

Second, a TIKTOK video, which i have embedded below. I have decided to re-state the facts from the video to create a permanent impression on the world wide web. Next time if you have encounter a conversation about SINDA’s Presence with an ignorant friend, share with them this post. Sadly, some people do not even know SINDA’s story, history or its current role.

The CEO Anbu shares with us the types of educational programmes that are available at SINDA?

1. STEP
   
   Flagship Programme of SINDA. Started in 1992, tuition for core subjects from Primary, Secondary and Junior Colleges.
   
2. PROJECT TEACH
   
   Started in 2001, this programme has been conducted in MOE Schools, islandwide after school hours and within school premises to improve the academic performance of students by closing their learning gaps and preparing them for daily lessons in the core subjects through intensive small-group coaching sessions.
   From 2019, students of all races are eligible to participate in our Teach programme.
   
3. PROJECT GUIDE
   
   The Guide offers tailored homework support via weekly sessions to primary and secondary students, helping reinforce their grasp of essential subjects and bridging any learning gaps they may have.
   
4. LITERACY & NUMERACY PROGRAMME
   
   Give your children a head start in becoming confident learners through this preparatory programme for Primary One education! This interactive enrichment programme nurtures children into early learners and equips them with the right skills and resources to perform well at school.
   
5. PSLE & O LEVEL LANDMARK EXAMINATION PROGRAMME
   
   Weekly intensive revision Mathematics programme leading up to the major examinations.

If you are wondering about the reach of their programmes, there are about 6000 students in SINDA’s educational programmes and around 4000 students in their development & enrichment programmes, making it more than 10,000 student in total.
